We’ll keep your brain working. While you may have the education and experience, we’re going to expand your knowledge with more than 40 hours of external training and over 20 hours of internal training per year. Life at Geffen Mesher
Geffen Mesher is a mid-size firm with a small-firm feel. We provide a unique blend of the quality and depth of experience larger, national firms are known for, with the responsiveness and concern for clients that local firms possess. In fact, many of our people began their careers with national firms and joined Geffen Mesher for its client service approach. In addition, Geffen Mesher is a member firm of DFK International, an organization whose reach provides us more than 214 member firms with 412 offices in 92 countries. We work hard to provide excellent client service. And given that this is public accounting, during busy seasons you can expect to work extra hours. During that time we do our best to keep you motivated, energized and engaged. We offer catering four nights a week, continental breakfasts on the weekend, tons of healthy snacks, chair massages, jeans days, and bi-weekly office socials or “wine-downs” as we affectionately call them.
Less than 20% of the nation’s CPA firm partners and principals are female. Several years ago Geffen Mesher established a Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI). Our WLI mission is to change this statistic by implementing programs such as our Customized Work Arrangement, Sponsor-Protégé program and company-sponsored leadership workshops.
Each year there are several opportunities to give back to the community. Sometimes we volunteer in small groups, sometimes we serve on boards, and we even have a firm-wide community service day where we close the office and get involved directly with a local organization!
