Background

Andrea Potter joined Geffen Mesher in 2019 as the fourth member of the firm’s dedicated State & Local Taxation (SALT) team. Originally from Denver, Andrea continued in her family’s footsteps as a third-generation accountant, following her grandfather, father, and uncle. She made the move from the Midwest to Oregon after previously managing the Indirect Tax Department at a national CPA firm. In her ten years of experience prior to joining Geffen Mesher, Andrea cultivated an expertise in indirect tax, specializing in sales & use tax, payroll tax, employment credits, and SALT audit defense on a national level. This experience allows Andrea to provide multi-state tax compliance in regards to SALT indirect tax issues. In her spare time, Andrea can be found exploring the Pacific Northwest, baking elaborate cakes, and wandering around art museums.
