Background

Caleb Pilling joined Geffen Mesher in 2007 as one of the firm’s first interns, working in both the assurance and tax departments during his first three years with the firm. Although working in both departments provided valuable experience for serving his clients, Caleb knew where his passions were and transitioned into providing full-time assurance services to clients in the manufacturing, distribution, construction, and real estate industries.

Caleb shifted his focus in 2016 when he worked with Raymond Cheung to co-found the firm’s transaction advisory services group, where he now spends most of his time advising clients through mergers and transactions. What began as a practice helping existing clients in the Pacific Northwest, has grown into a thriving practice advising clients internationally. He currently serves as chair of this group working with both buyers and sellers of lower middle market companies.

As a native Oregonian, Caleb has been highly involved in serving his local community through volunteer work for Accounting Aid for Fraud Victims (AAFFV), an Oregon-based nonprofit providing forensic accounting services to elder victims of fraud abuse. He also served as Treasurer for the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network (OEN), helping further the state’s economic development and business environment. When not in the office or volunteering, Caleb may be found outdoors with his family enjoying the Oregon coast and mountain biking the Cascades or rooting for the Oregon Ducks and Timbers.
