Background

Cate Horvath, née Kennel, started at Geffen Mesher as an intern in 2014, and returned full-time after graduating from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business with a degree in Accountancy. She was promoted to Assurance Senior Manager in the summer of 2024, and currently provides auditing, accounting, and advisory services to clients primarily in the manufacturing and hospitality industries. Her experience includes internal control assessment, risk management, inventory valuation, warranty reserve analysis, and financial statement disclosures. Cate leads and supervises client service teams in audit fieldwork for several of the firm’s largest manufacturing and restaurant group clients.
